Why do we expect foreigners (read whites) to be better than ourselves.
A racist attack in australia is seen as a totally unacceptable, but the similar attack in Ludhiana against Biharis or against people from UP in Maharashtra does not draw as much attention in India.
We can be racist , but they - they can't be. Why not?
